OUR CURRICULUM AT MIRAMBEENA CHILDREN’S CENTRE
At Mirambeena we believe that play is the essential medium through which children learn. The programs we offer in each room reflect the value of play. Play-based learning can be defined as a context for learning through which children organise and make sense of their social worlds, as they engage actively with people, objects and representations. (Early Years Learning Framework for Australia). Each child’s needs and interests are considered and valued within the program.
The curriculum we use in our service is based on a combination of The Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place, the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and the National Quality Framework.
